Bu meslek hakkında
Gemi inşaatçıları, eğlence teknelerinden savaş gemilerine kadar küçük tip su taşıtları inşa eder ve onarır. Ön çizimler hazırlar ve şablonlar oluşturur. Daha küçük tekneleri kendileri el ve elektrikli aletlerle yapar veya gemi yapım ekibini denetler. Ayrıca geminin inşası, taşınması, denize indirilmesi ve karaya çekilmesi için kızaklar ve beşikler oluşturur. Gemiye bağlı olarak metal, ahşap, cam elyafı, alüminyum gibi farklı malzemelerle çalışabilirler.
