The pans are part of the Roots collection, where special attention is paid to sustainability. This pan set is made from no less than 89 recycled cans.

100% recycled aluminum

The extraction and processing of metal minerals has a polluting impact on the environment. The recycling of non-ferrous metals contributes to the EU policy to reduce the environmental impact. Aluminium is an example of a non-ferrous metal, these are metals that do not contain iron or whose alloys do not have iron as a main component.

The pans in the Root line are made from 100% recycled aluminium. Products such as cans and aluminium foil are used for this.

The advantage of recycling aluminium is that the basic characteristics of the metal remain unchanged and the recycled aluminium is therefore no different from the originally obtained aluminium. This process also contributes significantly to the reduction of the exploitation of natural resources and reduces energy costs.

6 sustainable layers

The frying pan consists of 6 layers. A stainless steel base, a base of 100% recycled aluminum and a sustainable water-based coating of 4 layers. The water-based coating, combined with new techniques, reduces product waste and waste. This reduces the emission of harmful gases and substances and ensures a reduction of the environmental impact. The intermediate coating is also reinforced with mineral particles. This guarantees the longest possible durability, offers the best non-stick properties and high resistance.

ECOSystem handle

The pan features a newly developed “ECOSystem” handle. This has been developed according to the technical guidelines and procedures established to protect the environment. The handle is produced with a minimum of 50% natural raw materials and regenerated materials. The natural raw materials are obtained from PEFC and FSC certified, sustainable sources.

Sustainable packaging

Even the packaging is recycled. The cardboard packaging consists of 100% recycled cardboard made from FSC-certified raw materials. The FSC label promotes the development of sustainable and ecological forms of production. This provides long-term benefits for forests, animals, plants and populations.

In addition, the bag in which the pan is placed is made of bioplastic, which is 100% compostable.
