Warriors of Virtue II: The Return to Tao is the sequel to the original film from 1997. A few years have passed and a new villain appears on the scene named "Dogon". He has completely taken control of Tao. Shortly after Ryan (now 18 years old) and his best friend Chucky arrive at a martial arts competition in Beijing, China, they end up in the parallel world the "Land of Tao". Here they are reunited with The Roos/Warriors (who now appear as humanoids) to fight together against Dogon. Ryan does not realize that it is no coincidence that he is summoned back to Toa. He and his friends are the chosen ones, they are the next "Warriors of Virtue".
