Su tabanlı su ürünleri yetiştiriciliği teknisyenleri; asılı sistemlerde (yüzen veya batık yapılar) su ürünleri organizmalarının beslenme faaliyetlerini koordine eder ve denetler. Çıkarma operasyonlarına ve ticari satış için organizmaların elleçlenmesine katılır. Ekipman ve tesislerin (kafesler, sallar, uzun hatlar, bouchot) bakımını denetlerler.
