Zuiveltechnologen houden toezicht op en coördineren productieprocessen, operationele activiteiten en onderhoudsmedewerkers in fabrieken waar melk, kaas, roomijs en/of andere zuivelproducten worden geproduceerd. Zij helpen levensmiddelentechnologen bij het verbeteren van processen, het ontwikkelen van nieuwe voedingsmiddelen en het vaststellen van procedures en normen voor productie en verpakking.
